 高三學生陸續“復課”備戰高考

成都、德陽、綿陽、廣元、雅安、阿壩州6個重災區受災嚴重的40個縣將延期舉行2008年普通高考，具體考試時間將視救災情況另行確定。四川省教育廳副廳長何紹勇表示，目前最主要的就是組織高三學生復課，高一、高二學生暫時停課，把教室讓給他們。由于重災區教學設施損毀嚴重，今年高考四川的考生將免除考英語聽力。

More than 500 students from Beichuan Middle School, whose 1,300 schoolmates and teachers were killed or missing in last week's massive earthquake,resumed classes on Monday.
500多名北川中學學生于本周一復課，該校1300名師生在上周一的強烈地震中遇難或失蹤。
The 508 students, who were to attend the college entrance exam in the near future, were relocated to Mianyang, Sichuan Province, after their school in Beichuan County was devastated in the earthquake.
因該校在地震中被損毀，這508名即將參加高考的學生被安置在四川省綿陽市。
上述報道中，resume classes就是“復課”的意思。Resume在這里用作動詞，指restart or return to a previous location or condition，即“重新開始”或“恢復”。如果要表達“地震災區多數電信服務已恢復”，我們就可以說：Most telecom services resume in quake-hit areas。此外，我們也可以用restore這個詞來表達“恢復”的意思，比如：Power partly restored in quake-hit areas. （地震災區供電部分恢復。）
Relocate這個詞也要說一下，它一般表示move or establish in a new location（“遷址”或者“重新建立”），在這里是“安置”的意思。
