Concert with a strong Chinese flavor

The Beijing Forbidden City Concert Hall will stage a New Year concert on Jan 8 for enthusiasts of traditional Chinese music.

The concert will feature a dozen popular works, all performed with traditional Chinese musical instruments, such as the pipa, konghou, guzheng, guqin, xun,and erhu.

Among the best know performers are Fang Jinlong (playing the pipa), Zhang Zisheng (playing the guqin), Lu Lu (playing the konghou) and Cheng Haoru (playing the guzheng).
