The 11th National Public Ice and Snow Season kicked off on Dec 21 in Hulunbuir, Inner Mongolia autonomous region.

The event, which launched in 2014, aims to promote winter sports to the public nationwide.

Themed "Joyful Ice and Snow, Building the Future Together", this year's season features a wide array of events across the country. According to a recent news conference, 1,853 ice and snow activities are planned, including 820 competitions, 655 recreational activities, 378 carnivals and other comprehensive events.
