China and Hungary celebrate scientific partnership at Shanghai forum
The inaugural China-Hungary Science Innovation Day was launched on Sept 7 during the opening ceremony of the 2024 Pujiang Innovation Forum in Shanghai. The event, marked by the presence of a high-level Hungarian delegation, with aims to bolster scientific and technological collaboration between the two nations.
Since its establishment in 2008, the Pujiang Innovation Forum has served as a global platform for exchange and cooperation in science and technology. This year's forum has attracted over 300 participants, with nearly 40 percent representing 40 different countries and regions including Hungary, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Japan. Hungary holds the distinction of being the guest of honor at this year's forum, commemorating the 75th anniversary of the bilateral diplomatic ties with China.
As part of the forum, the China-Hungary Science Innovation Day will feature diverse activities, including a China-Hungary sub-forum and the "Smart Hungary" science and technology project roadshow. Hungarian representatives will also participate in various thematic forums, such as the global venture capital conference.
The China-Hungary sub-forum will focus on medical and health innovation, showcasing scientific research capabilities and exploring cooperation between Chinese and Western medicine to explore ways to enhance collaboration and innovation in healthcare.
