Man spends $14,000 on 'British royal carriage'

When a man rode a fancy coach in Pingliang city, Northwest China's Gansu province, on Wednesday, he must be expecting his "creation" would attract attention.

The carriage, at first glance, looks quite similar to the jewel-studded diamond jubilee state coach which British royal family uses.

Bai Dijun, the creator, said he had spent 90,000 yuan ($14,175) to make the carriage, Chinanews.com reported.

Riding the state coach at an ancient town in Liangping, Bai said the coach is used by tourists to take photos.

Bai is often invited to attend commercial activities with his coach, and every event could help him earn over 1,000 yuan ($157).
