WASHINGTON - The Dallas Mavericks announced on Thursday that they have acquired four-time All-Star Rajon Rondo and center Dwight Powell from the Boston Celtics.
The Celtics in exchange get Brandan Wright, Jae Crowder, Jameer Nelson and a first-round pick in the 2015 draft and a second-rounder in 2016.
"We would like to thank Rajon for everything that he has done for the Celtics organization and the success we have experienced during his tenure with us," said Danny Ainge, Celtics president of basketball operations.
Rondo has played his entire professional career with the Celtics for eight season.He was named a four-time NBA All-Star (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013) and holds averages of 11.0 points, 8.5 assists, 4.7 rebounds, 1.9 steals and 32.9 minutes per game.
