During Spring Festival, various folk culture shows in Anhui Province commence in different cities, brightening this special holiday.
A light fair is held at Fuyang Ecological Park to celebrate the forthcoming Spring Festival, which falls on Feb 3. The exhibition will last until March 6.
Winter is considered the best season to visit the Huangshan Mountain. The snow scenery in Huangshan is quite unique as it perfectly combines with the views of pines, rocks, clouds and springs.
As Huangshan Mountain (the Yellow Mountain) is a year-round attraction, winter visitors are often stunned by its beauty. The mountain has been said to be at the peak of its beauty during winter, and for that reason many people will suggest curious visitors should travel there during the cold months.
Six cities in the Northern Anhui province, with the abundant historical relics and spectacular natural scenes, made a big punch promoting this year’s winter tourism industry. Diverse preferential policies were launched to improve tourism spots. In Bozhou, for instance, officials recommended a ticket package available for 11 scenic spots.
Anhui province recently launched a winter tourism promotion event in an effort to attract more tourists for the season.
On the afternoon of December 11, the 2010-2011 Anhui (Bozhou) Winter Tour Opening Ceremony was held in a square at the Bozhou Huaxi Building ("Engraved Drama Stage") scenic spot.
On the afternoon of December 10, following the Huangshan Winter Tour opening Ceremony heralding the beginning of the Anhui Winter Tour, the 2010-2011 Anhui (Hot Spring) Winter Tour Kickoff Ceremony was one again ceremoniously held at Lujiang Golden Peacock Spa Resort, Chaohu.
On the morning of December 9, the 2010-2011 Huangshan Winter Tour Opening Ceremony was held in Tunxi district, Huangshan city, officially beginning the Huangshan winter tour season. Meanwhile, a series of preferential policies for winter tours were simultaneously introduced.
Anhui province, located in east China, issued favorable policies to attract more visitors and provided six recommended tour routes on Dec 2 at the start of the four-month winter tourism season.
The four-month-long winter tourism season got underway on Dec 1 and all scenic areas in Anhui province have published exciting new plans in a bid to attract visitors. In addition, the province has recommended six winter tourism routes to tourists.
