What do you think of China's efforts to end poverty?

I am not worried. Judging by the crowds during the Golden Week, Chinese consumerism is coming and it will be awesome. To speed up the process, the 'wealth effect' must been seen and felt by the public at large. Public social security is important. Moreover, the coming restructuring of the State-owned enterprises and the proposed redistribution with supposedly significant portions to the social security funds will be and seen as paramount of the State's determination, sincerity and intention under the 'New Economy".
