The "Four Comprehensives" strategy mapped out by President Xi Jinping marks a milestone choice made by China to boost its systemic, overall and coordinated development and governance after its economic buildup, says an abridged article from People's Daily.

The "Four Comprehensives" have also drawn a great deal of attention from abroad. The strategy lays out an explicit direction for China's development and the annual session of its top legislature has provided for its implementation, an AP story said. The reason why the international community has paid great attention to the strategy is not only that China's development trend has enormous global influence, but also because the world's governance approach has become increasingly diversified.

China's economic achievements and its rising influence on the world stage over the past years have increased its say in global affairs. In particular, China's adherence to its own road and refusal to point accusing fingers at other countries' efforts to explore their development paths has been welcomed.

Many developing countries have experienced failed attempts to transplant Western models to their development. However, unrestrained market liberalism and a vote per person electoral system have not brought them prosperity but political turbulence. This has reinforced China's courage and determination to choose its own road based on its national conditions. Many world leaders now want to take inspiration from Beijing, the Spanish newspaper El País said in a recent commentary.

To cooperate with Beijing has become an international phenomenon. That best explains why the recent overseas circulation of the book Xi Jinping: The Governance of China has received praise from many foreign politicians and experts.

As China attaches more importance to its governance based on its past economic achievements and accelerated its efforts to advance the "Four Comprehensives" strategy, the phenomenon "to learn from Beijing's experiences" will continue.
