onceaknight (UK)
In the UK I, like many others work damned hard, and later have a quite successful business. Not a chance that I would transfer funds to anyone's account, let alone let her have access. Here I pay the bills and rent, I contribute to provisions. If my wife wants she buys. She gets to dine in restaurants frequently, gifts on those special occasions but that's it. My wife has asked me on several occasions about my financial dealings in the UK; it's a conversation or debate I never enter into. I have never asked her how much she earns or how much her store takes every month, that is her business not mine and likewise.
