Beijing is a sober city. It’s too profound for the newcomers. But at its heart, I can feel a sense of belonging.
The all-embracing spirit of Beijing eclipses uncertainty and fear.
During my four years in Beijing Seldom did I see the city in the morning.
During the few occasions I woke up early, It was quiet and the air refreshing I walked from the Beijing Railway Station up to Haidian District I saw the city covered by a layer of haze in the blurring sunshine .
