Fresh cut-flower sales surpass 7 million in Yunnan

Kunming International Flower Auction Trading Center, Yunnan province, is the largest of its kind in China and the second in Asia, with daily fresh flower sales volume exceeding 7 million this year, according to official statistics.

After 12 years of operation, the center now serves as the national flower price formation, marketing information, and distribution hub. Its annual transaction volume reached 660 million, worth 500 million yuan ($79.10 million).

Yunnan, in Southwest China, leads the country's flower sales and output. As a base for cut-flower production and exports, the province aims to become the largest flower production and marketing center in Asia.
