Villages with characteristic landscapes rated in Jiangxi

Jiangxi province plans to rate a batch of towns and villages with characteristic landscapes every two years to promote the protection of natural and cultural resources in rural areas. Since 2009, eight towns and villages have been rated as national tourism villages with characteristic landscapes.

Jiangxi boasts abundant tourist attractions and rich historical and cultural resources. There are three world natural heritage sites, one cultural heritage site, two world geological parks, 12 natural scenic spots, 8 national nature reserves and 43 natural forest parks in the province with a forest coverage rate reaching 63.1 percent.
