The Second Luling Cultural Tourism Festival opens

The Second Luling Cultural Tourism Festival opens in the historical and cultural village of Meipi and the ancient village of Wenpi town in the Qingyuan district of Ji'an, Jiangxi province. The opening ceremony was presided over by Xiao Bing, vice-secretary and governor of the Qingyuan district.

Cheng Yijin, secretary of Qingyuan district, said that Qingyuan is one of the key places featuring the Luling culture. The government has attached great importance to the development of tourism here and has been accelerating the upgrade and extension of scenic spots.

This tourism festival, themed "Inherit folk customs and expand the market", shows various performances characteristic of the Luling culture. It is also the first time the Chinese historical and cultural Beixia ancient village in the market will be open.

The government hopes to take this opportunity to develop tourism resources and build Ji'an as an international tourist spot, said Wang Dasheng, deputy mayor of Ji'an city.

At the opening ceremony, the news that Meipi ancient village had been rated among the second batch of "National Unique Landscape Villages" was announced. The Meipi Ancient Village Tourism Development Co Ltd also signed promotional agreements with travel agency associations of Nanchang and Ji'an, Jiangxi province.
