Grand ceremonies for New Year at Longhu Mountain

From Jan 1 to 3, a grand ceremony was held at Dragon and Tiger Mountain welcoming the New Year and praying for blessings in the dragon year.

During the holidays, the scenic spot management committee issued 3,000 gold foil safety symbols at the tourism service center. Tourists watched a revised local customs performance, original cormorant performance, local matrimonial customs performance, and Taoist Master House New Year praying assembly.

To celebrate the New Year, the management committee offered free ticket services to tourists born in the Dragon years. An evening party to greet New Year Day with a fiery dragon performance and dragon culture themed bonfire evening party were arranged. Grand praying ceremonies were held at the Zhengyi Taoism Temple and Taoist Master House for three days. There were praying assemblies, 100-person Taichi performance, a ceremony with a giant dragon flying into the sky, toll bells for good luck, and burning first incenses. From 18:30-21:30, Jan 1 to 3, a river light blessing and a dragon culture New Year celebration evening party was held at the lovers’ beach of Peach Blossom Islet.
