"Best wishes" 3-day Jiuhua Mountain Tour (Temple Fair Line)

Day 1

Depart for Jiuhua Mountain

14:00-15:30: drive to the foot of the Jiuhua Mountain (Wuxishanse tourist resort); check in and rest at hotel.

16:000-17:00: set off to pay religious homage to the Wanghua Temple, the very first temple in Jiuhua Mountain. Pray and offer incenses; light “wisdom lamp”; visit the "No.1 Scholar Tomb" south of the temple - tomb of Jiang Shan, assistant minister of Nanjing Ministry of Revenue in feudal China; climb up to the pavilion to view the scene of Wuxishanse - one of the mountain’s ten most beautiful sites - to take in the whole vista; arrive back at the hotel.

18:00-19:00: for dinner a guide can help arrange hotel cooked local dishes. Free time. Stay overnight at Wuxishanse Grand Hotel under the mountain.

 

Day 2 Jiuhua Street

6:00-6:30: wake up and refresh 

6:30-7:00: vegetarian breakfast

7:00-7:40: hotel wagon to Jiuhua Mountain

7:40-8:20: visit the Huacheng Temple, the first temple of the mountain once resided by patriarchs (40 minutes for incense-offering and pray for peace to Buddha).

8:20-11:30: visit the Dizang Monastery (10 minutes to worship Ciming Master – contemporary flesh-body Bodhisattva), the Incarnation Hall (20 minutes. It’s the largest Buddhist temple complex. 1,200 years ago after Dizang’s nirvana, his body did not rot but looked alive. His disciples placed him here), the Shangchan Temple (15 minutes to worship Dishui Guanyin Bodhisattva and make wishes upon the wishing well), the Jingjie Sublime Abode (30 minutes to pray and draw divination sticks well-known for the efficacious reputation)

11:30-12:30: lunch time

12:30-17:30: Take the scenic bus to the terrace area and take the cableway up and down (30 minutes). Visit the Ancient Sutra-Worshipping Terrace (20 minutes. Try to step in Dizang’s large footprint to increase your welfare and wisdom); climb to the Temple of Heavenly Terrace (20 minutes. It’s the highest Buddhist temple of Jiuhua Mountain, where you can look at Huangshan Mountain in the south, overlook the Yangtze River in the north and enjoy surrounding peaks in the southern part of Anhui province); enjoy the natural landscape of the Buddhist mountain and then go downhill to visit 1,000-year-old pine - the Phoenix Pine (10 minutes. The pine is known as one of Anhui’s three most famous pines, together with the Welcoming-guests Pine in Huangshan Mountain and the Lovesick Tree in Tongling); night stay at the hotel.

17:30-18:30: dinner. Accommodation at Jiuhua Street on the mountain.

 

Day 3 Back home

7:00-7:30: breakfast

7:30-11:30: take cable car or walk to the Longevity Palace (30 minutes. Worship and pay respects to the true body of Wuxia Monk of the Ming Dynasty. An old saying - “the Longevity Palace makes all go well with you” - describes how the monk’s true body can bring you good luck); 500 Arhats Hall (15 minutes. It’s said the magnificent hall is for the people to count the arhats and find their incarnate bodies of this life); overlook the natural Sleeping Buddha (15 minutes. The statue resembles the deceased eminent Rende monk); walk along the Feihong Bridge to enjoy the scenery (10 minutes. The visitors or the pilgrims can enjoy pure oxygen here in this natural oxygen bar to relax to shake off fatigue as well as the stresses that come with urban life); visit Buddhist Culture Street.

11:30-12:30: lunch time

12:40: leave Jiuhua Mountain for home
