NGOs gather for green supply chain discussion

chinadaily.com.cn | Updated: 2017-04-01 17:02

The Institute of Public and Environmental Affairs (IPE) and SEE Foundation jointly convened the “Green Choice Forum: Ten Years’ Progress and Future Outlook" in Beijing in March 2017. Representatives from government, environmental NGOs and brands both at home and abroad discussed green supply chain development.

Twenty-one Chinese environmental NGOs launched the “green choice” initiative for international and Chinese brands and consumers.

The original initiative aims to leverage green procurement to promote green production as a means of confronting the public health threat from industrial wastewater discharge and protecting limited water resources from being decimated.
