影片簡介：

地球的上空突然出現了十二架貝殼狀的不明飛行物，懸浮在十二個不同的國家的上空，外星人向人類發出了訊號，但人類卻并不能夠解讀。美國軍方找到了語言學家露易絲（艾米·亞當斯 Amy Adams 飾）和物理學家伊恩（杰瑞米·雷納 Jeremy Renner 飾），希望兩人能夠合作破解外星人的語言之謎。
