Aria's brunch goes Spanish, mi tapa es su tapa
Gourmet and classic food of Spain's Basque country is now available during Aria's weekend brunch at China World Hotel, Beijing. The tapas are served on trolleys and adobo dishes are infused with Chinese herbs to create a different felling. The man behind the new idea is Chilean-born chef Maiker Valdivia, who has more than 10 years of experience working in Spanish coastal city San Sebastian, which is renowned for its Basque cuisine. The trolley offers eight kinds of cold and hot delicacies for the guests to choose from, including deep fried cod kokotxas (tongue). "It is my favorite cut of the cod fish," said Valdivia. "It has a very nice jelly texture in light salty flavor with crispy beer batter." The semi-buffet brunch costs 298 yuan ($43) including unlimited dessert.
