This year's Beijing Film Festival for College Students will open this Saturday, and run for 20 days.

More than 10 domestically-produced films including The Beautiful New World, Shower, Blue Love and A Train Heading for Spring will be shown during the festival in universities across the capital.

During the event, various awards, such as best director, best film and best actors will be handed out by film critics and student judges.

The festival was founded a decade ago, aiming to promote the development of Chinese film, especially among the well-educated younger generation.
