BERLIN -- The Official Competition at Berlinale has selected the first seven films for the 64th International Film Festival Berlin, organizers said on Tuesday.

In addition to the opening film Wes Anderson's "The Grand Budapest Hotel" and George Clooney's "The Monuments Men", which will be screened out of competition, there are currently six films running for the Golden Bear.

German director Dominik Graf will bring "Die geliebten Schwestern" into the competition and French director Alain Resnais will present his new film "Life of Riley".

The Peruvian director Claudia Llosa, winner of the Golden Bear in 2009 with the film "The Milk of Sorrow", will come with "Aloft", and the Northern Ireland drama "'71" by Yann Demange will be also featured at Berlinale.

The Berlinale Special will also show four film works by contemporary filmmakers as part of the official program, including Pascal Chaumeil's "A Long Way Down", Australian film series "The Turning" as well as two documentaries "We Come As Friends" and "The Galapagos Affair: Satan Came to Eden".
