China, US to exchange negative lists soon

Trade representative says he hopes barred sectors will be few, treaty talks complete in 2016
China and theUnited States are expected to exchange negative lists "this month or next month", which could pave the way for substantial progress on the negotiations of a Bilateral Investment Treaty, China's Vice-Finance Minister Zhu Guangyao said on Friday.
Zhu made the remarks at the Atlantic Council, a Washington DC-based think tank, on the sidelines of the ongoing meetings of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank, after US Trade Representative Michael Froman told Xinhua earlier on Friday that he expected the two sides to exchange the negative lists soon.
