Jin Fusheng, the driver who intentionally rammed his car into pedestrians, killing three and injuring nine, has been sentenced to death on Thursday.
He was indicted on charges of intentional homicide and endangering public security and received the sentence from Beijing Third Intermediate People's Court on Thursday morning.
Because of the disputes with the economic management center of Sanlitun, Jin executed a plan of revenge against a staff member of the center, and then rammed into the pedestrians, the court said.
The 61-year-old resident in Beijing drove a car and rammed it into a crowd at the Workers' Stadium in the capital, leaving three dead, eight injured and damaging three cars on Dec 26, 2014.
