QINGDAO - Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir on Thursday left the city of Qingdao in eastern Shandong Province, wrapping up his three-day state visit to China.
During his brief stop at the port city, al-Bashir visited the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Qingdao and met with top provincial officials to discuss cooperation on agriculture and trade.
Invited by President Hu Jintao, al-Bashir arrived in Beijing early Tuesday. During his meetings with Hu, top legislator Wu Bangguo, and Vice-Premier Li Keqiang, al-Bashir received a commitment that China will boost bilateral cooperation and support Sudan's efforts in national reconciliation.
