BEIJING?- China's top legislature on Monday began to discuss the ratification of a treaty with Algeria on mutual judicial assistance in civil and commercial affairs.
The pact was submitted by the State Council to the Standing Committee of the 11th National People's Congress (NPC) for deliberation during a bimonthly legislative session.
The treaty was signed in Beijing by Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi and his Algerian counterpart Mourad Medelci on January 10, 2010.
The 31-item treaty covers bilateral judicial assistance in contact approach, delivering judicial documents, evidence collection, implementation of judgment documents, information exchange and dispute resolution.
