Priced at 388,000 yuan, the Golf GTI Cabriolet from Volkswagen formally hit the Chinese market last week, with only a limited number of 66 cars available for local customers.
A drop-top version of the carmaker's high-performance Golf GTI hatchback, the model features Volkswagen's iconic 2.0-TSI turbo-charged engine and six-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission. It has a maximum power of 155 kilowatts and top torque of 280 newton meters.
The car is capable of accelerating from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in 7.3 seconds and can reach a top speed of 235 km/h. Its electro-hydraulic cloth top takes 9.5 seconds to open, and 11 seconds to close.
