China-based wireless interactive entertainment products provider, ALONG Mobile Technologies Inc, said it plans to launch a new wireless application protocol (WAP) entertainment platform, called "Waiting 2.0" which it will use to offer new content to users.

In a statement, ALONG said the new platform will provide users with content including books, music and ring tones.

It said the client terminal of the platform will be available for download to customers' cell phones through the company's existing terminals.

The company did not provide details about the timing of the launch.
