Education tech firm unveils tablet as it eyes integrating AI, learning
Xueersi, a subsidiary of Chinese education technology firm TAL Education Group, launched an AI-driven learning tablet recently, as it aims to integrate AI and education to drive new quality productive forces.
Industry experts believe that Xueersi's entry into this market could signal a broader shake-up in the learning tablet industry, as China's learning machine sector only had few players.
Zhao Puzheng, head of Xueersi's learning device business, said: "The integration of AI and education is the key to driving new quality productive forces for the education sector."
"New learning methods, such as high-frequency interaction and AI-based Q&A, enable children to participate more actively and engage more deeply with educational content," he said.
This shift not only enhances learning performance but also nurtures children's self-directed learning and problem-solving skills," he added.
"The integration of content and technology isn't just about quantity—it's about long-term high-quality," Zhao said.
"As the industry evolves, content resources will become a crucial differentiator. As the market matures, the battle will shift beyond hardware and software specifications to a contest over comprehensive user experience. This progression will mirror the evolution of smartphones but at a faster pace," he added.
Zhao emphasized that Xueersi's approach to AI-powered education remains grounded in understanding the needs of children and parents.
"We've always focused on children's interests, parents' expectations, and the role of technology," Zhao said. "Our aim is to make learning a joyful experience for children, provide peace of mind for parents, and continually drive technological progress."
