With footprints spanning different continents, dancer, choreographer and the artistic director of Hong Kong's City Contemporary Dance Company Yuri Ng has had a rich multicultural life and an international career.

His grandfather moved from Taishan, Guangdong province, to Hong Kong, where Ng was born in 1964. He started ballet training at the age of 6, and later pursued studies in Canada and the United Kingdom, which led to a decade of working as a dancer at the National Ballet of Canada.

After returning to Hong Kong in 1993, he has been working with various Hong Kong dance companies as an award-winning choreographer, and costume and set designer. Since 2021, he has held the post as artistic director of the CCDC.
