Embracing opportunities in China: A Russian ballet teacher's perspective
Ekaterina Barasheva, a Russian ballet teacher, finds herself enamored with the opportunities offered by China.
Her connection with China began in 2009 during a ballet tour that traversed the length of the country, from north to south, where she fell for its diverse culture. She currently lives in South China’s Hainan province.
Barasheva marvels at the convenience and efficiency of life in China, particularly its unparalleled logistics infrastructure. Despite language barriers, she travels easily across the country and appreciates easy access to necessities and local cuisine.
"I know that a lot of people came here, firstly, maybe because of earning (money), but after (a while), they found something else because the possibilities are great," says Barasheva.
China's allure lies not only in its economic prospects but also in the boundless potential it offers for personal and professional development. As China is opening wider to the world, more opportunities will arise.
