Yemeni actor Hamza Al-sal, who grew up in China, is grateful for the opportunities and experiences provided by Shanghai - the city that brought him friends and fame.
Having moved to China with his parents in 2000, Al-Sal became well-known in the country for his portrayal of Alexander in B for Busy, a Shanghai-based film featuring a talented cast predominantly made up of local stars delivering their lines in the city's dialect.
As a student at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, the 24-year-old hopes to achieve great success in the film industry.
"I have a passion for acting. I want to continue doing what I like. I hope to create my own opportunities in Shanghai, shoot my own movie," said Al-sal.
