A recent video showing a group of elder people doing chest-expanding exercises during a singing lesson has gone viral on the web.

The video recorder and uploader Dong Fushun was a teacher at the University for Senior Citizens in Lianxi district of Jiujiang, East China's Jiangxi province.

Dong, born in 1992 and graduated from the Art Institute of Jiujiang University, started to teach senior citizens at the university in 2017 when he replaced his friend as a substitute teacher.

Dong adjusted the course for the students who are aged between 45 and 86. He would start with doing warm-ups and breath-training before theories, so that they can accept the knowledge easily and concentrate.

He said that he made the videos for his senior students to practice at home and for their families to know their situations in class. Dong would interact with the family members in the video replies- and now he interacts with many other citizens.

"Little movements" -- Dong shared the story of how these senior students are just like children. They do little movements, talk and doze off in class. "It seems that they go back to the happy time at school."

"Some uncles and aunts could not afford to take these courses when young, so they had to give up this hobby. Now they can make up for it. Therefore, they take detailed notes and practice hard at home."

Dong said, many people are busy working and cannot accompany their parents. "If everyone starts to care about their parents' later life through my video, that will be really good."
