PEAK emerges as special winner of FIBA World Cup 2023
MANILA (Philippines) – It's time to introduce a new champion to the world stage. Germany clinched their first-ever FIBA Basketball World Cup title in 2023, securing victory in a thrilling final against Serbia, with a score of 83-77 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila. This triumph also marked a significant milestone for PEAK SPORTS, a leading sportswear brand.
Dennis Schroder was the standout performer in the final, amassing an impressive 28 points. The team's captain had an outstanding tournament, averaging 19.1 points, 6.1 assists, 2.0 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game. He was awarded the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament.
In addition to Schroder, the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 All-Star 5 featured Bogdan Bogdanovic from Serbia, Canadian sensation Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Anthony Edwards representing the USA and Slovenian star Luka Doncic.
Both the finalists, Germany and Serbia, played with PEAK jerseys and equipment. The sportswear brand proudly supported six teams throughout the tournament, including New Zealand, Iran, South Sudan, Latvia and the final two teams.
The victory of PEAK at the FIBA World Cup 2023 was celebrated as a historic achievement. Xu Jingnan, Chairman of the PEAK Group, was present at the title game in the arena. He extended his congratulations to every member of the victorious German team and savored the fantastic moment, which marked PEAK's inaugural presence atop the FIBA World Cup podium.
Under the banner of "WIN for PEAK, WIN for Champion," the brand showcased this slogan on T-shirts worn by fans of both finalist teams. PEAK emerged victorious in the brand competition of the FIBA World Cup 2023. Serbia had previously triumphed over Canada in the semifinals, while Germany had delivered a spectacular performance to eliminate the United States. It's worth noting that both the United States and Canada were sponsored by the global sportswear giant, Nike.
With Germany and Serbia securing the top two spots in the FIBA World Cup 2023, they have guaranteed berths in the Paris Olympics 2024. South Sudan, another team supported by PEAK, also secured an Olympic qualification as the top-ranking African team. So far, PEAK has secured three out of the twelve available slots for men's basketball in the Olympics.
PEAK's brand presence in the international basketball market has been steadily growing. Their exclusive innovative technology, TAICHI, had sold over 40 million pairs of shoes by the end of 2022. The brand has expanded its operations to 110 countries and regions around the world.
Xu Zhihua, CEO of the PEAK Group, expressed the brand's vision, stating, "PEAK will leverage basketball-related products as our ace, aiming to establish ourselves as a global professional sports brand as quickly as possible."
