Marina Lytle, an American who works as director of an international school in Kunming, capital city of Southwest China's Yunnan province, has embraced the city she now calls home.
After spending 15 years in Kunming, Marina has fully immersed herself in the local culture and considers herself a "Kunmingren". "It has the feel of a small town but also offers the convenience of a large city," she says.
Marina finds China's rich history and diverse culture fascinating, and she believes her students are able to experience the diversity of both China and the wider world in Kunming.
