Chinese jewelry designer glistens globally

"The jewelry's design expresses the wearer's philosophy and sentimentality. Each design is inspired by a story, be it a snippet of music, a poem, or a piece of visual art," says jewelry designer Zhao Yici, when asked about her design sources.
Her latest design, a collaboration with the internationally-renowned luxury department store Lane Crawford, is named Wonderland. The collaboration celebrates China's unofficial Valentine's Day on May 20, with the number 520 sounding similar to "I love you" when spoken in Chinese. Zhao is one of many designers from around the world joining forces with Lane Crawford to unveil exclusive collections during this special day.
