I think the real beauty of the BRI is the spirit behind it of sharing that China draws to share its success with developing countries, countries with which it had no obligation, it had not gone to war with and it had not inflicted any damage.

But I think through that greater vision of having a shared prosperity, building a community of shared prosperity, it chose to partner with developing countries. It provided them the most critical investment they needed to fill gaps in the economy, either in energy or infrastructure or industrialization or technology, that have helped them to develop their economies.
