With its opening day ticket presale currently topping the country's box office, Dune - a Hollywood sci-fi epic - is expected to stir a new wave of enthusiasm after a hiatus from the fiercely contended National Day holiday, according to some industry observers.
Adapted from the 1965 novel of the same title by American writer Frank Herbert, the film under the helm of Denis Villeneuve is scheduled to open across 47.2 percent of over 80,000 screens in the country, including more than 720 with the IMAX systems, which offer 26 percent more of footage than regular screens.
