Belarus to raise export duties on oil, petroleum products on 1 August

MINSK, 30 July (BelTA) – On 1 August, Belarus will increase export duties on oil and petroleum products, which are exported outside the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). The decision is laid down by the Council of Ministers' Resolution No.440 of 28 July 2021 that was officially published on the National Legal Internet Portal on 30 July, BelTA has learned.

In line with the document, the size of the export duty on crude oil, furnace oil, oil bitumen, petrolatum, paraffin, and waste oils will be $67.8 per tonne ($61.5 previously). The export duty on straight-run gasoline has been set at $37.2 per tonne ($33.8 previously). The size of the export duty on commercial gasoline, diesel fuel, light and middle distillates, benzene, toluene, xylene, lubricants will amount to $20.3 per tonne ($18.4 previously).

The export duties on crude oil and some categories of derivative oil products were previously revised upwards on 1 July.
