The company believes that, with the people's expectation for a better life, their desire for better tourism experiences will be more prominent.
"Against the background of the new development pattern, as a State-owned enterprise mainly engaged in cultural industry and tourism, OCT Group will promote the overall upgrading of this cultural tourism festival, and create more activities and new experiences to meet the public need for tourism with a spirit of craftsmanship and high-quality products," says Liu Fengxi, general manager of OCT Group.
In February, the 2020 tourism economic operation analysis and 2021 development forecast report issued by the China Tourism Academy points out that people pay more attention to consumption expenditure for culture and tourism when society becomes better off.
According to figures from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, China's tourism market witnessed a strong rebound, with a total of 230 million domestic trips made during the Labor Day holiday-a year-on-year rise of 119.7 percent.
The figure also represented a 103 percent recovery of the tourism industry following the pandemic.
Tourism revenue during the holiday reached 113 billion yuan ($17 billion), up 138 percent year-on-year.
Dai Bin, president of the China Tourism Academy, believes that mass tourism needs quality and diversity, both now and in the future.
