Former US official expects 'multilateralism' from Biden administration
Carla Hills, former US Trade Representative and former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, believes changes will come in international policy after Joe Biden, the 46th US president, comes to office with a wealth of experience.
Hills mentioned that Joe Biden has stated that any progress in these key areas such as climate, world health and de-nuclearization would require collaboration of the world's two largest economies. "I think Sino-US relations will be far more diplomatic and strategic," Hills said during an online conference on the Sino-US Sustained Dialogue held by the Institute of American Studies Chinese Academy of Social Science and the Kettering Foundation on Jan 27.
