Comedy 'Driving For You All Night' set for release
Chinese comedy Driving For You All Night is set for release in Chinese cinemas on Nov 15.
Directed by Tian Xiaoli, the film tells the story of a designated driver Li Bo, played by actor Tian Yu. The cast also includes Zuo Xiaoqing, Liu Jinshan and Li Jingjing.
According to Lin, the script took three years to finish as she interviewed more than 100 designated drivers and collected their stories as inspiration for the film.
"I've made films in many themes including war and costume drama, but I've always wanted to tell a realistic story," Lin said at the film premiere on Nov 10 in Beijing.
Li Xuetao, the film's director of photography, said he had faced many difficulties during shooting because the story specifically takes place at night, with many dynamic and changing car scenes.
