Sleep disorder situation getting worse in China
How to improve sleep quality
Medication is one of the major treatments for people who suffer from sleep disorders. However, patients should strictly obey doctors' medical orders regarding medicine and how many doses should be taken.
The main factor triggering sleep disorders is related to mental health issues, such as when a person is under too much pressure or is feeling nervous and anxious, according to experts. To acquire high-quality sleep, people can adjust their moods, relax and form a regular routine for work and rest.
Concerning eating habits, patients need to drink less tea or coffee, eat less oily food at supper and do not overeat. More carbohydrates can be eaten at supper. It is also beneficial to sleep if people exercise more and bask in the sun during the day.
In addition, it is suggested that people not to use electronic devices one hour before going to sleep. Listening to music and reading books are both better replacements.
